Microsoft Edge gets new user interface
Microsoft Edge has received a new design update based on users’ feedback. The latest update makes the web browser aesthetically pleasing and easy to use than before. The update brings the browser onboard with Windows 11’s design interface with rounded corners, translucent backgrounds and fluid animations and subtle usability changes.
In the updated interface, the profile icon has been moved to a new location for functional benefit and it makes it easier for users to add, change and manage the account. Additionally, it also brings structural changes including a new container system, allowing users to view multiple items at once.
The updated interface will be available to users in the coming weeks.
Microsoft 365 Copilot comes to Edge
Microsoft is extending the AI-capabilities in Edge beyond the Bing integration. The update brings AI enhancements to data security and privacy in the enterprise. At the annual conference, the company announced Microsoft 365 Copilot integration to Microsoft Edge.
Microsoft 365 Copilot offers new capabilities that combine the power of large language models, Microsoft 365 apps, and your data in the Microsoft Graph—such as your calendar, emails, chats, documents, and more.
As a part of this, the company has also added support for plugins in Microsoft 365 Copilot. Developers can build experiences that enable people to interact with their apps using human language to ask Microsoft 365 Copilot and Bing Chat for answers and actions from connected services.
