Person hurt in 9th and Lincoln hit-and-run crash

Denver Police said the crash involved three drivers, but it’s unclear how each was involved.

DENVER — A pedestrian was injured in a hit-and-run crash in downtown Denver early Friday morning.

In a tweet around 6:30 a.m., Denver Police (DPD) said the person was hit near the inspection of 9th Avenue and Lincoln Street. The person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, the tweet says.

DPD said the crash involved three vehicles but it is unclear at this time how each of those vehicles was involved. Video from SKY9 shows two vehicles at the scene one of which is partially up on the sidewalk. The other appears to have front-end damage and is facing the wrong way on Lincoln Street.

Partial closures are in place, according to DPD’s tweet.

This is a developing story. It will be updated with more information once we get it.
